From Zero to Expert – My Story

Eight years ago, I began my journey as a front-end developer. At that time, I was unaware of online professions, freelancing, or any business opportunities online. I started learning and encouraged some friends to join me in studying front-end development. Initially, they thought it would be easy to grasp and that they could make a lot of money. They were excited, so we rented a small room to learn together and created a conducive environment for studying. Since we were all students, raising funds for our plan proved challenging. 

Learning something as a beginner in this field isn’t as easy as I expected. I feel bored every day. They left me alone, and I became distraught. But I couldn’t abandon my dreams; I had to learn independently. A thousand times, I thought about giving up. This profession wasn’t for me. 

Since they weren’t with me, I had to cover all the room costs, electricity, and internet bills. However, I had no income source, so I worked as a data entry operator at an offline office. My office hours were 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no weekends. When the day shift changed, I had to work 24 hours over 15 days twice a month. 

In this situation, I feel like I have to sacrifice my dreams! One day, I decided not to sacrifice my dreams, but I needed money to fulfill them. Sometimes, learning is dull when your mind is tired and full of negative thoughts. I decided to join an online course and started my learning journey after a 2-month gap! I Practiced and Learned after my 12-hour job. 

In January 2018, I opened my first Fiverr Profile and GIG. After one month, I received my first order, a PSD to HTML one-page project, which I completed. Then, I received two more orders from a Netherlands-based client. I finished my first three orders with 5* ratings and great reviews. However, my fourth order was canceled because I needed more skills. I did not receive an order for a long time and struggled to get back on track. 

In October 2019, I left my job for my dream profession. And Covid Comes! I had lost once more time. However, I had no option to get a job because of COVID-19, so I decided that whatever I do, I must do it online. My plus point was my skills. Now, I can work on front-end development projects, WordPress Projects, Shopify projects, and Square space projects. I also know a little bit about graphic design and SEO. That was my powerhouse, and I was confident I could do something. 

I started looking for Projects on Fiverr and Upwork because I had to provide for my family. I belong to a middle-class family. We had no savings, and my father lost his job. We had no other supporters who could help us. 

In April 2020, I received another order from a Canadian-based client on Fiverr. He had a Drop-Shipping and E-Book-Selling Business. I have worked with him on more than ten projects, and I thank him for helping me when I needed him the most. I have another client from the United States, Ryan Hansmayer. He is one of the best clients in my career. We worked on more than 100 projects together. 

This journey has been filled with challenges, sacrifices, and moments of doubt, but it has shaped me into who I am today. From learning alone in a rented room to building a career online, I’ve discovered that persistence, adaptability, and a belief in oneself can overcome even the most challenging obstacles. The support of my clients, the lessons from my setbacks, and the skills I’ve honed along the way have become the foundation of my success. Today, I am proud to say that my dream has turned into reality, and I continue to strive for growth and excellence, not just for myself but also for those who trust me to bring their visions to life.
